"I bought 3 of the ansley rugs in dark brown, which is really black and none of them will stop shedding even after repeated vacuuming. I vacuum quite often, but this is too much."

"Dark brown is very dark indeed. Almost black. Runner took a long time to flatten out. It's still turned up at the end. Nice design and very thick rug."

"I have purchased the brown ansley area rug in several different sizes and am completely satisfied with them. They are so thick and plush. The background color is a combination of what seems to be black with dark brown interweaved, with the overall appearance of a rich espresso,... absolutely beautiful! Is shedding a little as expected at first. Very happy!"

"This rug is well constructed and does not shed. The thickness is impressive. I love the round shape as it adds unexpected interest. In the beginning I was disappointed in the darkness of the gold. I think the color description should be BRONZE. Yet, I decorated around it by adding throw pillows to match the TEAL and coordinate with the BRONZE. Now my bedroom looks CLASSY and TASTEFUL!"

"I purchased this rug in the round shape. It's very plush and expensive looking. The colors are really beautiful. It will be in a waiting room of a dentist office. It will be placed under a round table in the middle of the room. It will not be walked on so I'm not concerned about how well it will hold up. It will simply accentuate the colors of the room! Can't wait to get it all installed!"

"I am returning this gold rug. The picture of the gold rug on the site appears to show a subdued design and colors. However, the rug I received had very dark red lines throughout the rug, very pronounced design, and bold colors. I had a difficult time believing that the rug I received was the same rug as the one pictured on the site. The rug pictured is pretty and elegant but the one I received is really quite ugly."

"This rug is rich in color and lovely under foot. However it is not true to the picture. The color is a very dark gold almost a light brown with a gold tinge. The blue is aqua and lovey! If you have a brown/aqua/gold color scheme it will work beautifully. I ordered another one! It's an excellent price!"

"I got the rug earlier than expected - the day before Thanksgiving! My family loved it. The deep gold color is very impressive in my foyer. It has not shed at all. The design is more brown than magenta in the center ( another reviewer mentioned that, so it was no surprise)"

"I've had the rug in my bedroom for 2+ months. If the rug that was pictured is actually the same color as the rug that is sold, I would LOVE this rug. Unfortunately, the colors are muted. Also, the dark brown background is really black with some dark brown flecks that aren't noticeable unless you are up real close analyzing the color. I wound up keeping the rug because shipping it back would have been too costly. If you don't like to vacuum, don't buy this rug. i would recommend if you don't mind more muted colors and like to vacuum:)"

"I bought the dark gold version, and I wish it looked more like the picture. The picture looks more muted, and it seems to have a red/magenta/purple in it. For me, the blue is too bright in the flowers. The colors are really gold, blue, ivory, and brown. There is a small bit of purple in the center of the rug. The gold is wonderful, and I would keep it if the blue was more muted. I wish HDC would list the colors in the descriptions. The rug is nice quality."

"I purchased the 10' runner Ansley Rug in Amber Gold. It looks perfect in our master bath with Sherwin Williams Barely Blond walls, Warm chestnut cabinets and light colored tile floors. The rug stays in place. It is easy to vacuum and looks even more beautiful after. For two years I debated about a rug. Finally I ordered the Grimsby and the Ansley rugs in the 2x3 size. They both looked nice but the carmel background of the Ansley was perfect for our setting. Most sources that I checked did not have 10' runner rugs, especially at this price. The rugs were delivered less than a week after ordering. Home Decorators promptly notified me of receipt of the returned Grimsby rug and applied credit. I put the small Ansley in the potty room. Classy."
