"love the desk. it's the perfect size for my xtra room. I didn't want to clutter up the room with an additional file, so I'm glad this one is built in. was pretty easy to put together, but you will need 2 people working on it. the drawers slid right in, the file fits perfect also. the top is roomy enough for my 21in monitor, phone, paperweight and small pencil sharpener. I put my router and tower cpu on bottom shelf under desk, it fits great. The only drawback I have with this desk is where do they think you're to put the mouse? The keyboard tray is only wide enough for just the keyboard, did they forget a mouse? barely enough room next to it, can't move the mouse around. either slide the keyboard up high enough to pull the mouse towards you when using it, or place it on top of the desk. too bad. otherwise everything fit well, was lined up nicely for screws, etc. and all doors and drawers fit flush. one suggestion would be to get a cordless mouse."

"The desk looks great and the drawers fit a lot of things in them. It is perfect for my daughters bedroom. The assembly instructions are clear and the finished product is worth the time and effort."

"All pieces marked with letter for identifing parts with assembly directions makes assembly very easy. Hardware packages also have letters and numbers for identifing correct screws and bolts."

"Beautiful desk, nice design, carefully packaged to prevent damage in shipping. I enjoy putting furniture together (it's like building a model) and I was able to assemble this desk by myself. (I'm a moderately strong woman.) Everything was well-engineered and the pieces fit together without being forced. The only downside was that, once the desk was completed, I tried to insert the drawers and some of them didn't fit. Turns out the space for the drawers was about 1/4" wider than the drawers themselves. Final result: two of them are useable and two aren't. Very frustrating."

"This is the second desk that we have ordered through Home Decorators that we have had to invest additional money into parts to make the desk work. This time the knobs and screws that go on the slide out drawer do not fit."

"We bought these as Christmas gifts for our kids. They look very nice and the quality appears to be good as well. The kids are thrilled.
The assembly was very long - be prepared to spend some time on it. At this point, we think it was worth it."

"I have been searching for a white desk with a filing cabinet forever and this was exactly what i was looking for. The quality isn't amazing, I have trouble with sliding the drawers in & out but I can live with it. The desk definitely will pick up scratch marks easily, so as another reviewer suggested I am thinking of getting a piece of glass for the top of the desk to prevent this. Overall, I do like the desk and think it is a good value for the price."

"I have ordered several Oxford collection pieces and have been happy with them but I am not so happy with this desk. The large drawer does not slide well on its tracks and the shelf front does not stay completely up. For the price, I was expecting better quality."

"Bought this for my 15 y/o daughter - good quality relative to the price! Looks great - solid feel to it - drawers work well and also have a solid substantial feel for the money. Directions to assemble are clear and straightforward but you need to allot about two hours for assembly. I bought a piece of glass to protect the desktop as white would show marks quickly! My daughter is thrilled with it and I am very happy."

"This desk looks great, but, as other reviewers have noted, it's of pretty cheap construction. Some of the pieces cracked (not apart) when I was screwing them together. I still plan on keeping the unit, though, because it's not worth it for me to ship to back to HDC."

"The desk is great looking and perfect for my teenager's needs. The only thing I was worried about was putting it together....There are many pieces/parts but if you take your time and follow the directions anyone should be able to do it. It took me about 3 hours. I had put together bookcases before and other small things, but this was pretty intense. It seems very solid, as I could tell when putting it together."

"I thought this desk, for the money, is beautiful! It is, of course not high end furniture, but it is heavy and looks like it. It is not laminate that you purchase at office supply stores or big box stores, it is wood. It was purchased for my teenage, daughter's room. It is just big enough for her and has the features she needs. She has a laptop so the sliding drawer contains her makeup, not her keyboard. She can just push it back in to hide everything when she is done. I had no problems with parts not fitting together, and I did it by myself in about 2 and 1/2 hours. I did take my time and to make it sturdier, I did use wood glue on the dowels and pieces of the desk that fit together. I also purchase a piece of glass for under $50.00 to protect the top from scratches or nail polish accidents. All and all, a great purchase."

"We purchased this desk after months of searching for a desk/file cabinet combo. This one was by far the nicest looking. Upon receipt, we noticed that one of the pieces of the desk was broken. Home Decorators was great about quickly shipping us the replacement. After building the desk and filling it with an average number of files, the file cabinet instantly broke. The file cabinet is more for show than utility. Again, Home Decorators was great about sending us another desk, but after building it a second time, we had to reinforce the file cabinet in order to use it. We hope it will not break a second time! We definitely like the look of this desk, but would not recommend it to anyone looking for a fully functioning file cabinet."

"It's exactly what I was looking for -- a small desk with good storage for the corner of my family room. I thought it was a snap to put together til I got to footrest part and the keyboard drawer. To attach the footrest part, you definitely need to turn the desk on its side (which is not in the directions). Like others, I found that the space for the keyboard drawer was too small, and I had to use lots of force to get it in and spray silicone to have it move smoothly. That being said, it was still pretty easy to do. Good solid wood parts -- definitely a good value!"
