Writing desk in Kitchen
|
Date: October 23, 2009
|
"This turned out to be perfect piece of furniture for my kitchen nook. I wanted closed desk so I can quickly hideaway my paperwork when required and hold 2 office bags every night. The 2 filing drawers are good size to hold a year's worth of daily paperwork for me (kids school docs, home and other info that is constantly referred back). The top of the desk holds phone and nice decorated items too!
My only complaint about the assembly is that, 1 filing drawer doesn't slide easily (my husband and I spent more an hour on this piece alone but could not get it right)."

Very Attractive

"This is quite an attractive piece of furniture. Computer fits all sections and our 32" TV fits cornered on the top shelf."

Nice cabinet, some fit issues
|

"Cabinet looks just as described, like the middle leg to stabilize the unit. Overall not to bad to assemble but the hinge instructions could be better. The drawers I thought could have been better, one had a warped side and the other had the holes misaligned and when assemble would not fit into the opening."

nice, but...
|

"Well, for the price, I expected the quality to be a little bit better. Two of the pre drilled holes for the dowels and screws in the sides were too deep - when I put the sides together, a dowel popped through and made a hole in the side of the desk. there is a little bump and a crack where the screw pushed through on the other side... I kept it because the hole would face a wall and I figured it would be easier than finding a way to repack the whole thing and return it. All in all...it took me almost 6 hours to put together by myself, but could likely take someone else a little more "assembly savvy" less time. The finished product looks nice, but that gaping hole in the side really bugs me. I glued the thin chip that broke through and will try to use paint to fill in the marks...oh well...just be very careful and delicate when putting it together if you should buy this."
