"This is a nice floor lamp for the money. It arrived well-packaged and was easy to assemble. The cord was already threaded through the several pieces of the base and they all screwed together easily. The lamp is not very heavy but seems well made. I would describe the shade as dark gold, much darker than pictured. I wanted a reading lamp and this fills the bill. I put a three-way compact flourescent bulb in it and it seems fine. Recommended!"

Solid lamp, imperfect appearance

"This lamp is sturdy and casts beautiful light, however, I was disappointed to find that the bronze finish was nothing more than an average paint job. I have a few places where the paint was not applied evenly. Also, my shade arrived dented. That, I have not been able to fix yet. The light is beautiful but I'm not entirely impressed with the aesthetic craftsmanship, considering the cost."
