Great cabinet-Inferior Hardware

"This is the second "American Craft" looking piece I have bought from Home Decorators. All is great about this product except the cam lock hardware. It's inferior and EASILY breaks. There is nothing worse than going through the hassle of assembling these units and then having a cam lock break. Clearly the manufacturer is aware of the problem as this unit arrived with an extra set of cam locks. These cam locks need to be either cast in a harder metal, OR tooled out of a harder metal. When I finished assembly of this unit, since I had my tools out, I went to LIGHTLY tighten up the other piece of furniture in the same design-style family that I had purchased from HD. It had loosened up from regular LIGHT usage. The cam lock literally crumbled upon ONE twist of the screwdriver suggesting that these locks become even more fragile and brittle with age. If HD would correct this one hardware manufacturing flaw, this would be a perfect product."

"I got this item on sale. It took over an hour to build and is very heavy. I wouldn't have paid more than the sale price for the item but I love it. Very good quality and solid. Was delivered in good time."
