"Fairly easy to put together. I did not need to use a drill, a good screwdriver is fine. Minor problems with alignment of screws, hinges and holes. I am very happy with final result. Shipping and Delivery are somewhat expensive."

"This went together pretty easily, provided you had two people doing it. We were able to get one done in less than an hour. The instructions were easy to follow. Once together, the cabinet/bookcase feels VERY stable. Took two of us to carry it into place, but not unbearable.
There were almost too many shelves that came along with it. We ended up not using one or two.
One complaint was there were no pre-drilled holes for the door hinges on the inside of the cabinet, which was a real bear to try and get right (so that the doors are even in height.) After a lot of profanity, we were able to get doors attached but not perfectly even.
Only other complaint is cosmetic- that the corners on the door fronts were not mitered. Would have looked better mitered."

"I ordered two of these bookcases and they arrived within a few days. They are exactly as depicted and good quality for this type of furniture. Assembly was easy except that I had a little trouble getting the cabinet doors aligned."

"It is a nice looking piece of furniture for the cost. But, I would not use it as a show piece in my home. It was easy to assemble. The biggest problem is the attachment of the legs is very poor, which is a real issue for a "bookcase" that is supposed to support a lot of weight. The screw assrmbly that attaches the legs pulled out on 3 of the 4 legs. I was able to "fix" them to make the piece work and usable, the the design needs to be worked on."

"We looked at several of the bookcases offered and finally picked this one. It has adjustable shelves, and they are a few inches deeper than many of the others (15"). One hinge came a bit bent, but was easily fixed so we could use it. It is JUST what we were looking for, at a great price and was shipped super quickly! There is quite a bit of chemical odor (though it says it meets CA standards) but it is beginning to dissipate. We noticed that with another item we ordered. The bottom cabinet is a nice large size."

"I really like the look of this bookcase for the $. It was a little difficult to put together, but did it by myself in a couple of hours. The wood is all solid and it is a heavy piece, except for the backing which is some kind of plastic which looks a little tacky, however, it is not extremely noticable."

"The product wasn't as solid as expected. We especially had trouble with the feet. When standing the finished product up after screwing in the back, one of the feet came off, ripping the screws out of the pressboard. Overall, we weren't too impressed a regret not spending more money for a better quality product. On the plus side, the chestnut color is quite nice and it's an attractive piece once assembled."

"The cam bolt assembly was difficult beause of the quality of the cam lock. My busband broke 6 of them. They are made of aluminum and break easly. Two additional ones were included (which he also broke)so I can only assume others have the same problem"

"Looks great in my daughter's room. I purchased 2 and the bench as well to go under the window. Very Heavy and well built. I had one piece that got bumped on the corner in shipment, but didn't show once put together. Go into the project with plenty of time to put together! Would easly compare to high end purchases."
