"The shelf came well packaged. Came in the promised time-frame. Unpacked & was in beautiful condition---no scratches, or dings. The color was a true black. Very good quality for the price. Quality Control/Customer Service must have read the previous reviews because the mounting brackets were better than the reviews described, as was the color & quality of the shelf. My Japanese wood block prints look great on it."

"We are extremely pleased with the Cornice shelves! I am only doing review for the 24" but have purchased, 36" and 60". They are beautiful and are great for displaying pictures or anything that is worthy of displaying."

"The shelf was packaged well and arrived undamaged. I thought the included wall anchors looked flimsy so I purchased my own. Installation was straight forward: two metal cleats, one at each end of the back of the shelf slip over two identical cleats that are attached to the wall. The shelf feels secure, looks attractive and the price (on sale) was fair. I'll probably buy more of these."

"Love Love Love these shelves! Just hung (very easy) and they look beautiful. The detail of the moulding below the shelf looks really finished, I ordered 2 to hang in a narrow but tall space and could not be more pleased. Very sturdy and beautiful"

"The product arrived quickly...outside box undamaged and protective Styrofoam undamaged. Yet the shelf arrived with a serious mar/scratch to the left-front. A scratch cover and wax-filler helped reduce the damage to the naked eye. The screws supplied with the dry wall mounts were mis-sized (large). Pressure being applied forced the screws/mounts completely through the dry wall. Mounting this shelf requires your wall be perfectly straight. As with so much newer construction, slight curves and imperfections exist in walls these days. I was not able to "slide the shelf onto the mounts" due to wall curvature imperfection. A re-design of the wall mount system used needs to be done to account for this problem and some quality control on assembly parts and craftsmanship need to be done. It cost me another 50 dollars and many extra hours of time and several trips to Lowes to find workarounds and get this shelf mounted. Not a happy guy."

"Well made, nicely finished, good substantial hanging hardware. My only recommendation would be that for DIY-ers, it would be nice if it were offered unfinished so it could be stained or painted in the color of choice."

"The cornice is beautiful--sturdy and exact in color from on-line image. My only criticism is that there is an 1/4" depression--probably to keep frames up, but it was not obvious from description and images."
