"This product is what makes the gel fireplace so much more realistic than the electric. The crackling sounds that eminate from the can really imitate the sounds of actual flames on wood."

"We use the gel flame canisters for a "fireplace" purchased from HDC that we hung on an outdoor wall on our covered patio. The flames cast a nice glow and make realistic crackling and popping noises - not too loud. Adds a lovely ambience to our outdoor entertaining. The canisters seem to last about 3 hours max. We tried substituting sterno because the Real Flame cans are expensive, but it definitely was NOT the same! We do save them for when we have guests over, though."

"Dont forget to get rid of the label before you burn. When burning it makes a noise as if it was wood burning. I'm happy with the product."
